Acting as Managing Director for Ham-Let (UK) Ltd I had the pleasure of employing Julia. Julia was in charge of the accounting department and sometimes I used her talent and positive approach to deal with important customers. I found Julia to be totally devoted, capable of performing her assignments and I also found her personality to be very charming.
I had the pleasure of working with Julia, managing the bookkeeping and accounts at Elizabethan Textiles Ltd. With the company having never had a financial controller before Julia joined and she quickly remedied all of the businesses accounts, VAT and bookkeeping issues during her regular on-site visits. I worked with Julia at Prime Lawns where I was Office Manager. We started working with Julia when I realised I was spending far too much time looking after the books and not nearly enough time generating new business. From the outset Julia was extremely professional and helpful. She initially came out to see me within a couple of days and we took her on immediately. She has a real understanding of how small business works and is flexible enough to handle virtually any situation varying from being able to answer the phone, to sorting out the best electricity contract for the company, to producing management accounts on a monthly basis (including pointing out abnormalities) to interfacing with our accountants to reduce our annual audit bill and even completely sorting out my office so that I can now find things. These are in addition to the normal bookkeeping duties and credit control and always with a smile! I would have no hesitation at all in recommending Julia to your business.
I had concerns about passing over responsibility for the day to day running of our accounts to someone else, especially with the distance between us. Neither of these have proved to be an obstacle and we have formed a great partnership! All of our sharing of information has been done via the cloud and we have regular catch up calls. As my trust for Julia's quality of work has grown I have passed her more and more responsibility to such an extent that she is now in complete control of all issues relating to our accounts, wages, VAT, paying suppliers, bank reconciliations and all the other account activities necessitated in the day to day running of a business. Julia has always been incredibly professional, approachable, reliable and helpful and our accountant has not found the necessity for a single correction on the last two year accounts!
